Creative Lark is a photography studio with artistic flair run by myself (Amanda) and my husband Rob. We are both photographers with an interest in the arts and we are passionate about what we do! We strive to capture special moments and enjoy photographing people in all stages of life. We also love to travel and take pictures of all the amazing things we see around the world! We are constantly learning from each other and have combined our strengths to provide photography services that are both professional and unique!

Amanda:

Art has always had a deep impact on my life and I’ve been creating art since childhood. I have had formal training at the Alberta College of Art and Design as well as informal training at home from both my parents who happen to be artists as well. My experience includes painting, drawing, printmaking, graphic design, glass blowing, and finally photography! My other interests include winemaking, hiking, reading, writing, and spending time with my wonderful husband and our loveable cat Rumour!

Rob:

I am the “second camera” and the holder of all things photographic, like reflectors and diffusers! However I am also an avid photographer, from the days of my old instamatics, to my trusty 35mm Yashica that I carried everywhere, to fiddling with photos in the darkroom. Over the years I have had my photos in shows, and loved the switch to digital photography.  

These days I help my lovely talented wife when I am not busy working, or doing my own creative stuff like cooking and building cedar strip kayaks. You are most likely to see me helping her capture all those special moments at a wedding or being the extra hands for a shoot!
